Twice a year the School Sisters of Notre Dame award grants to organizations working for justice. These groups benefit people, mostly women and children, caught in poverty, human rights abuses, or environmental devastation.

Meet our Fall 2017 Gospel Fund Grantees:
Justice for Immigrants, Tuscon, AZ
- $5,000 for educational materials related to legal representation for DACA and DAPA residents and to procure printed advocacy resources directed to federal and local politicians; and other
St. Patrick Missionary Society, Cameroon
- $2,999 to purchase laboratory equipment for a new Chemistry Lab
Thomas More Project, Baltimore, MD
- $5,000 to provide scholarships to low-income families for Catholic elementary and secondary schools
Catholic Mobilizing Network, Washington, DC
- $2,500 to fund operating expenses in establishing the Women’s Religious Death Penalty Advocacy Council
Willkommen Mensch in Eggenburg, Austria
- $5,000 to support housing, transportation and education needs of asylum seekers from Afghanistan and Syria
Health and Human Rights Education in Children, Mexico
- $5,000 to fund the Jesuits of Peace program for developing the social fabric of families and community
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission Grammar School, Roxbury, MA
- $5,000 to buy classroom equipment including cribs, rockers, and play stations for their Early Childhood Center
Notre Dame of Maryland University, Baltimore, MD
- $5,000 to contribute to a fund established by two NDMU University students for a public library in Caibiran, Philippines
Second Chance for Women, Baltimore, MD
- $5,000 to finance preparation of Parole Packets for women seeking parole and for the travel expenses of professionals assisting the women in Maryland prisons
Archbishop Borders School, Baltimore, MD
- $5,000 to award scholarships to families in need and families with more than one child
Tutwiler Community Education Center, Inc., Tutwiler, MI
- $5,000 to help underwrite the responsibility for payroll taxes for the Teen Helpers Program and for its Educational Materials
Well for the Journey, Inc., Towson, MD
- $2,025 to fund women from SSND Sponsored Ministries to participate in programs focusing on the spiritual dimension of wellness
Sacred Heart of Jesus – St. Patrick Parish: Rel. Ed. Program, Baltimore, MD
- $5,000 to finance the Religious Education Program by paying the registration fees for the minority families
KinDoo Family Center, Indiantown, FL
- $5,000 to support the operating expenses of programs for women and children in low-income immigrant families
